The students and staff at Belle Alexander are celebrating the Olympics! Belle students participated in a 2018 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony to kick off learning about the Winter Games. The students paraded through the hallway with flags, and cheered on classmates. They each put a hand print on the paper torch that now burns in the entryway. Each classroom is learning about the different events. In PE students are competing in events just like the real athletes, even learning to take their heart rates. Social skills focus on teamwork and students are working to earn medals for their classroom animals on the bulletin board. At the end of the two weeks Belle will also hold a Closing Ceremony.
