This weekend, the Kewanee H.S. music students competed in the IHSA Music Organizational State Contest where all five groups earned Divsion 1 (Superior) ratings. The five ensembles that competed were the Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Concert Choir, and Jazz Choir.
This weekend's success, combined with last month's Solo & Ensemble contest, finishes Kewanee H.S. in fifth place in the IHSA State Music Sweepstakes for class A. This is the highest Kewanee has placed in school history! Congratulations to our Kewanee High School student musicians!
