To celebrate Children's Dental Health Month, Belle students had the chance to learn all about dental hygiene with the help of Becky Echelberger, Dental Hygienist at Knox Family Dental and Adjunct Clinical Professor at Carl Sandburg College, and Carl Sandburg Dental Hygiene program students (and local Kewanee & Wethersfield High School alumni), Kasey Jones and Eden Juarez. They taught the students the importance of brushing, flossing, and taking care of their teeth, gums, and tongue. They also reviewed foods that can help keep teeth healthy and strong!
The students were able to get a hands-on learning experience as well. Pictured are several students practicing their brushing techniques on some furry friends!
