On January 22, 2018 Irving Third Grade celebrated Science day with a variety of activities. In the morning, every student attended science centers where they made an owl snack, learned about owls and their habitats and created owls with the facts they have learned. In the afternoon, students reported in pairs to the gym and dissected owl pellets gathered from live owls. Students found skulls and various other bone parts and then used a field guide sheet to identify them as part of the project.
