39 KHS Students earn Food Handler Certificates

Foods Class students at Kewanee High School participated in a week-long course administered by Dorothy David of the Henry County Health Department. 39 students passed the exam and earned their Food Handler Certificate. This certification is required to be able to work in a food establishment. This program was paid for by our local McDonald's Restaurant owners, Dennis and Trina Gendron. The students will benefit from increased employment opportunities. This is a great collaboration of a school system, state agency and a local business.
