This prestigious award is given annually by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) to recognize students from across the state as this year's State Scholars.
An Illinois State Scholar winner ranks in the top ten percent of high school seniors from 749 high schools across the state. Selection is based on SAT, ACT, and Prairie State Achievement Exam scores, and class rank at the end of the junior year. Students are encouraged to cite the award on applications for college admissions and scholarships.
